NHR recognizes that its shareholders’ operations impact on the environment. These impacts will be kept to a minimum as far as it is reasonable. In order to achieve this NHR and its shareholders subscribe to the following principles:

• Compliance with applicable laws and good forestry and sawmilling practices

• NHR is accredited with and subject to the Forestry Code of Practice set down by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

• NHR’s shareholders have adopted a code of practice for sawmilling industry based on that used in New South Wales
